📚 Explanation

How the Roast Me Score works

The Roast Me Score is a playful, meme-style calculator that turns your own description of yourself into a 0–100 roast rating. The goal isn’t to be cruel, but to celebrate the kind of self-aware humor that makes group chats and stories more fun.

1. Name-based baseline

Your name gives a small baseline “roastability” score. Names with sharp consonants (K, T, R, X) create a slightly spikier baseline, while softer letters (L, M, S, A) give gentler vibes. This usually falls between 10 and 35 points and prevents every score from starting at zero.

2. Chaos & cringe keyword engine

Your description is scanned for playful chaos indicators: “unhinged” sleep schedules, caffeine addiction, triple-texting, “one more episode” behavior, or “I’ll start on Monday” vibes. The more self-aware chaos you confess, the more roast fuel the score sees.

  • “cringe”, “awkward”, “embarrassing” → moderate roast boost
  • “unhinged”, “delulu”, “unserious” → stronger boost
  • Overusing “LOL”, “lmao”, “😭” → extra chaos points
  • Chill phrases like “working on myself”, “therapy”, “boundaries” → small roast reduction
3. Punctuation & drama intensity

The calculator also looks at how dramatic your writing style is:

  • Multiple exclamation marks (!!!) or question marks (???) → more roast heat
  • ALL CAPS or random capitalisation → “internet yelling” bonus
  • Lots of “…” → dramatic pause energy

None of these are “bad” – they simply make your description feel more screenshot-worthy and roast-ready.

4. Context multiplier

The context you choose (selfie, outfit, message, habit, overall vibe) adds a flavor multiplier:

  • Selfie / outfit: mild boost – most people are playful here.
  • Message / DM: bigger boost if you admit DM disasters.
  • Habits & life choices: high potential for comedic chaos.
  • Overall vibe: balanced mix of everything.
5. Final formula (simplified)

Under the hood, the Roast Me Score combines:

  • Name baseline × small factor
  • Keyword & chaos score × main factor
  • Context multiplier
  • A tiny sprinkle of randomness (±2) for realism

The final value is clamped between 0 and 100 and mapped to a roast tier.

Score ranges & interpretation
  • 0–24: Soft Toast – You’re mildly roastable. Cozy, wholesome energy.
  • 25–49: Light Roast – Enough quirks for jokes, still pretty gentle.
  • 50–74: Medium Roast – Solid roast material, perfect for group chats.
  • 75–89: Hot Roast – Pure content. Your friends screenshot you a lot.
  • 90–100: Extra Crispy – Meme legend. You are the group chat content.
Examples

Example 1:
“I say I’m going to sleep at 11, start a new show at 1am, and wonder why I’m tired at work.” → Strong chaos, relatable, message/habit roast → around 70–80 (Medium to Hot Roast).

Example 2:
“I’m early to everything, drink water, and log off when I’m tired.” → Low chaos, self-care energy → around 15–25 (Soft Toast).

❓ FAQ

Roast Me Score – Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is this a real psychological test?

No. This is a playful, non-scientific roast meter built for memes, parties, and self-aware humor. It does not measure self-worth, personality, or mental health.

  • Can I use this to roast other people?

Only if they clearly consent and enjoy this type of humor. Never use this tool to harass, bully or target strangers, coworkers, or anyone uncomfortable with jokes.

  • Does the calculator store what I type?

No. Everything runs in your browser. Saved scores are kept locally in your device’s storage so you can delete them anytime.

  • Why is there a bit of randomness?

Real life is messy – two very similar descriptions can feel slightly different. A tiny random factor keeps scores from feeling robotic and makes them more fun to share.

  • What if I get a very high roast score?

It usually means you wrote a self-aware, chaotic description that would make your friends laugh. If a roast stops feeling fun, step back – your comfort matters more than any number.
